Hello Family

Here are more cute pics of moi!  1.  I was following a sharpei.  2.  At Pacific Heights.  3.  At Berkeley.  4 & 5.  I had to stay in the backyard because the cable man came by.  6 & 7. Waiting for Mom in the car while she ran a quick errand. 8. Extreme closeup.  Mom likes taking these kind of shots.  9.  I'm stretching after a long nap...yawn.

Yesterday, my Dad took me to this trail far away from home.  It rained so it was muddy and I had so much fun---sniffing, rolling around and  getting wet.  Mom said, "you smell like a dog".  D'oh, what did you expect?  So I got a wiped down when I got home.  Mom threatened to give me a bath but she got busy with cooking so she forgot.  Anyhow, she read on the internet that it's better not bathe a shiba too often.

Met new friends

On Sunday, I met and played mostly with Kelly. She was at the park earlier but she was so shy that she really didn't want to play with other dogs. After an hour, her human was gonna take her to the big dog park but they moved to our side of the bench. That's when we started playing. Her human even said Kelly was finally coming out of her shell. We played exclusively for another half hour before we had to leave. I had so much fun. She's a good girl. The day before that, I met an adult shiba male. I tried to play with him but he would not have it. He even growled at me. His human said that he is like a grumpy old man at 5 years of age. lol So I learned my lesson and just bugged him a few times. :)

Humpy Hump

A few days ago, I was having some sexy time with my pillow when I got my first boner and did not know what to do. My mom got all worried because she saw how quiet I got and stood there for a few minutes. She told my dad to google what to do. Of course, he was too busy watching UFC fight online but he finally came over to check me out. Dad was amused. Mom did the googling. She tells dad that after 20 minutes, if his penis is still outside the skin, go to emergency because it might get infected. Luckily, I recovered after 8 minutes. Whew! Since this is a family blog, you will only see my face while I was pondering what to do. ;-)
Yesterday we went back to SF. I think we keep going back because my mom misses the city and would prefer to live there again. She keeps calling our area the "boonies". The city smells are certainly different. I haven't gotten tired of exploring it. But mind you, I like where we live. It's near the water and lots of grass for me to roll around in.

Beautiful Day

We went back to SF for a short visit and Mom googled this picturesque dog park. It was funny to see my mom stopping a few times to climb up the stairs. She didn't run this time. Yes folks, more stairs to get to this place. Boy, was it worth it for the view! I played mostly with this Boston Terrier Lulu who tried to dominate me. I had such a great time. By the way, we found out later, there was an easier way to get to the park. At least my mom and dad got some exercise. :-)

Cry Me A River

Because I was by myself last night for 6 hours. They came home, walked me for 20 minutes, left food and water, turn on the tv, left the lights on and a big turkey neck while they sneaked out. Mom dragged Dad to see Michael Buble. Dad did not want to go. However, he ended up liking the concert because he was such a good entertainer. Too bad they forgot their camera. Mom was talking on the phone today about how at one point during the concert, she was inches away from Michael and she touched his right hand as he walked by. Big Barking deal! I was left alone and didn't get to spend time with them. I peed on the living room instead of the kitchen. Serves them right for leaving me. But I forgot all about it when they came home. I was just happy to see them because they were so happy to see me and they did not scold me for peeing. I got my playtime in and a very short walk outside the house after midnight. All is well.

Out and About

We walked around Pacific Heights in SF last Friday. It's a pretty rich neighborhood. I had to check back on Mom while climbing back up the stairs. She was panting when she got to the top. :-) She decided to run too instead of walking up the stairs slowly. For some reason, I barked at joggers wearing an ipod. lol I saw 4 people running up and down the steps over and over and all of them had ipods. Woof!

Why oh Why

Do I have to take a bath? I made the mistake of following Mom to the bathroom and boom, she closes the door. She picked me up and put me on the tub with running warm water. I SCREAMED! She tries to calm me down but I won't have it. I just hate bathing. I wasn't even filthy. I think I frightened her with my screeching scream. I got away from the tub a couple of times but I was right back in. After the towel dry, she let me out. She stayed in the bathroom and took a shower because she was partially wet because of me. Granted she doesn't give me a bath that often but I still hate it. Besides, I'm good at grooming myself. Note to self, don't follow Mom into the bathroom.

Before class started last night, I got to play with Deacon and Oscar. I hardly recognized Oscar. He got a haircut. Mom was cooing how cute he was and looks like a totally different dog. I'm gonna miss Deacon. His human said that he wasn't going to take Puppy II. It was graduation day for Puppy Class I last night. We learned about "off/sit" and took turn doing our exercises. But mostly, we played and socialized. Finnegan, a golden retriever was missing yesterday. One day shy of graduation and he drops out. LOL Actually, the teacher told everyone that Finnegan's parents thought that he was too much to handle and returned him to his breeder. I was shocked and Mom was visibly upset by this news. Dad joked "maybe we should return Sinjin too, we can still get our money back." Real funny Dad, NOT! Class picture from left to right: Cash, Lola, Suki, Bacchus, Deacon, Oscar, Me, and Brownie.
